Irró sailboat
Robust. Safety. Comfortable. Sustainable.
Robust & trustable yacht
Irró sailboat is a 14.75m long and 4.30 m wide cutter rig sloop. As an expedition type, our boat is ready to explore any area of the world with confidence. Since we have a lifting keel, we can explore shallow anchorages and tiny docks that would normally cause problems. .
Comfortable & Spacious
A large saloon with a fully equipped galley, consisting of 2 double cabins in the stern, 1 double V-cabin in the bow, two additional single berths in the saloon, 2 heads with toilet and washbasin, a separate shower room, an external hot water shower and a technical room.
Experienced Captain
With over 20 years of sailing experience in the Azores, Captain André Branco has the ability to select the best navigation routes and activities, according to our travellers level of experience, in a region of constantly changing climate.
Technically Sustainable
By having a solar power plant at the stern of our sailboat, we can reduce the need to use fossil fuels during our trips. At the same time we have a 5.5kW 220V generator on board to ensure the sustainability of our trips.
Aquatic equipment
We carry a kayak, a super paddleboard, snorkeling and freediving equipment and different sizes of fins, a dinghy with a 5 hp engine, books, table games, hammocks and even musical instruments so that you can enjoy every moment of your trip.

Frequently asked questions
What means ‘Go Where The wind will take us’?
“The answer my friend is blowing in the wind” said Bob Dylan.
On board Irró we let the wind guide us in our scheduling and let Mother Nature surprise us, so we have no fixed itinerary, schedule or planed activities.
You are on vacation! So we expect you to trust us and we will decide together where and what we will do next.
Is this sailing trip for me?
If you are willing to experience life on a boat, then, yes! Learn about sailing, swim in the deep blue, eat fresh food, watch the sea life and look at the endless blue horizon – guaranteed!
Please be aware that our trips can be physically demanding and passengers must ensure that you are reasonably fit to participate fully. You must be able to walk up and down steep stairs and be able to “jump” in and out of the boat in the marinas or dinghy. If you have any physical limitations, do not give up, talk to us and together we will find a solution!
What means half-board?
Half board is the way we have found to say that you shall not expect us to serve every single meal aboard during the entire journey.
We advise you to also visit and taste the local cuisine. The fact that we are not blocked in the galley cooking each meal gives us more time to prepare and participate in the activities we organize for you.
Examples:
1 – When we serve breakfast and lunch. Then, dinner will be ashore.
2 – When we serve breakfast and dinner. Then lunch will be ashore.
3 – When we are underway navigating, all meals are cooked and served on board.
All meals served onboard are included in the price.
